Emma sat in a mostly dark, mostly isolated corner table in The Three Broomsticks. The entire pub was mostly deserted. Partly because it was only 11:00 in the morning, and partly because there was three weeks until the first visit from the student of Hogwarts. However, this suited her just fine. The less people that saw her here the better. This was due to the fact that the person she was scheduled to meet here was THE most wanted wizard in Britain, and possibly the world at the moment. She, like everyone else, knew that James Potter had turned dark. It was far from secret. Her boss was his father, and as hard as he had tried, Harry had not been able to keep this fact from his staff, and people talked. What was NOT well known though, was the reason that James had turned bad, and this was the primary reason why she was here today. As a teacher, she knew that she was not supposed to have favorites, and she did treat her students fairly and with kindness and respect. Though there were always those students that stuck out to her, and James was one of those. She had sent an owl to him just two days before requesting this meeting. She had little hope that he would respond, but was pleasantly surprised when she received a reply the day before with just a time scrawled on the parchment. He would be here, of that she had little doubt. The question was, would he talk to her or would he kill her. Emma felt that either was possible. James Potter II James Potter II//Emma Oliver

When James had received the letter from this particular person he did not toss it in the fire like the rest. And to be sure, he had gotten quite a few letters, mostly from his family, and friends who he knew would not join him. He felt it was better to ignore them to risk them finding his location by responding. But when Professor Oliver sent him a letter he found himself reading every word, something inside his chest stirring as he began to respond back. She wanted to meet, and he knew it was risky, it could have been a trap. But he had shared some things with this woman in his years at Hogwarts that he had not shared with other people, even his family. Some things you just couldn't admit to your own flesh and blood, and a person who was not a friend yet not a family member was just the kind of person who would be able to hold the secrets you told them. And so, he agreed to meet her, in Hogsmeade of all places, and he quickly poofed himself to the outskirts of the town, feeling it wise not to give off his magical signature inside the protected walls. So with a pulled up maroon hoodie and dark jeans, James set off into the morning.
When he arrived at the Three Broomsticks he noticed it was empty, save for the tender and a figure sitting in the corner of the pub. He knew it to be the professor so he readied himself, putting on a pleasant smile as he walked in, not drawing attention to himself, before turning to where she sat.
"Professor Oliver. What's it been? six years now?" He asked before sliding into the seat across from her, his hands on either side of him as he did not turn down the hood, but his eyes peered bright and curious, but with a tint of caution, as he glanced around them. "I trust you didn't tell anyone about our little secret meeting." He went on to say, a hint of warning in his voice as he glanced outside the window into the dark. She didn't think he would have come alone, now did she? A faithful follower was a few feet away on the outside looking in, ready to make his move if she tried anything... drastic.
